Review of La Nuit aux Invalides. A spectacular 3D projection mapping show on the facade of the Army Museum every summer.

Every summer, the courtyard of Les Invalides transforms into a gigantic open-air cinema. La Nuit aux Invalides is a sound and light show (video mapping) projected directly onto the 196-meter-long inner facades.
The show usually lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. Using state-of-the-art 4K projectors, the stone walls seem to crumble, burn, rebuild, and dance.
After the show, there is often an option to visit the Dome Church (Napoleon's Tomb) at night. The experience is magical. The tomb is lit dramatically, and the usual daytime crowds are gone. It feels solemn and ghostly in the best way.
